14 days without the telly!

In the last 5 days since Simon set the challenge I have yet to watch the telly. I did however watch Die Hard 4.0 on Thursday night as my mate from work lent it to me and wanted it back the next day. Incidentally, it was a great movie. As I said before I dont watch tv. So this hasnt been to much of a challenge. I went to the cinema tho. I had free tickets to see Lions for Lambs. I liked that too.

Fish wants to join in this challenge too. He has left a few comments which have now been approved. He should update regarding his progress as he goes!

The Game. November 2007

Both myself and Simon had a heart to heart last night while out on the piss at our fav drinking establishment. Been a while since we last met up but it was awesome. Si showed off the length of his hair, which we have had numerous discussions about. Its good, Simon’s hair grows faster than mine and we are both out to grow it. I will leave Simon to explain that, as he has a post planned to explain the challenge and the merits.

Anyways, what we had to discuss was the attitude of us both to the widespread pulling technique “The Game”. The obvious advantages to this are clear but the variation in the fashion is always an interesting one to see from other players. I even find that women’s field of play differs from mens.  Women can easily show interest in a bloke at a club and there is a 90% chance they will pull  it off because, well, blokes are blokes! Where as us mere fellas can hit the floor and we have to be particular about the job in hand. How do you go from there? Sometimes, its not even an option, because what level do you go for? The stunning bird who every bloke is salivating over or do you go for her mate!?

I am certainly the lazy kind. 90% of the time I will just wanna have a good night with my mates. A few drinks and a laugh is always the best way to go… But if I do meet someone I actually like, I get on with and there is obvious chemistry, the yeah, I will go that one step further, but I’m not going out there to win the trophy, as it were.

Improvement we trust!

Hey. This is the first post on the new site, Improvement which, as is in its title is a blog. It was created by both Simon and Gary. As the title may suggest this blog will be a reflection of our en devours to improve ourselves, be it successfully or falling straight upon our asses. The great thing is that we are both always trying to come up with new things, new games to play and new ways to push each other.

Sometimes we might talk about The Game, sometimes we might talk about my work and Simon’s studies and how he trys to find new ways to achieve his goals. Me I talk about loads of things but mostly in a Gary way, you will come to love it, hopefully and want to come back for more. I should say that Simon will try and more often than not, take the piss out of me. So there is that to look forward to also.

We may even talk about the Orient. Leyton Orient are a bit of a passion for Simon and me… and tales will be told. So, sit back, tune in and enjoy. Welcome to Improvement!
